FLY-TIPPERS ruined a bank holiday day out for nature lovers when they dumped scores of old tyres and a mountain of wooden crates on a path.
Visitors to Stocksmoor Common nature reserve were left fuming when they found a footpath leading to the beauty spot, near Wakefield, completely blocked.
The nature reserve is a favourite destination for families throughout West Yorkshire and a home for tree pipits and linnets.
One visitor said: "We couldn't believe our eyes. Who would do such a thing?"
