All three lanes of the eastbound M62 were closed shortly after 7.20pm tonight following a crash.
A black Mazda M65 was flipped onto its roof when it collided with a white van. The Mazda landed blocking two lanes between junctions 27 and 28.
The female driver of the car and the male driver of the van suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Firefighters from Cleckheaton, Batley, Hunslet and Morley made the road safe.
Lanes two and three were re-opened a short time later.
