A SUMMER fair at a Bradford care home raised more than £600 for a residents’ fund.
The event, at Cooper House Care Home in Buttershaw, was attended by the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Zafar Ali, who joined visitors on a bouncy castle (pictured).
Families of residents helped out on stalls and donated items to sell. Two local singers, Joey Wilby and Emily McCormack, entertained residents and their visitors.
Other attractions included a hot food café and a cake stall, selling sweet treats made by staff and family members.
Cash raised will go towards events and trips. Earlier this year Cooper House staff had organised a ‘virtual cruise’, for residents to experience the tastes and cultures of different countries. The month-long venture featured props, costumes, food and entertainment from countries such as America and India.
