RAWDON wrestler Rampage Brown is the new champion in World of Sport Wrestling after claiming the title in the show’s return at the weekend.
Rampage Brown, pictured, real named Oliver Biney, claimed the title after defeating current champion Grado, who had held the belt since 2016.
It was the return of WOS Wrestling to ITV on Saturday, and peaked at nearly 1.2 million viewers, making it the highest-rated British wrestling television programme in more than 30 years.
Rampage’s win was the headline event of the hour-long show, taking the belt following a scintillating contest with Grado which ended in Rampage pinning his opponent for the victory.
The former Benton Park School student is also on the roster of New Generation Wrestling, which regularly holds shows at Pudsey Civic Hall.
