BRADFORD chartered accountancy firm Naylor Wintersgill is the latest city firm to explain why it has signed up for the GiveBradford 100 Club.

Victoria Wainwright, managing director, sat down to explain why her firm has backed the campaign.

What do you like most about Bradford?

It’s a vibrant city with a distinct mix of unique heritage and innovation.

Bradford is the best city in the UK to start a new business and as a Bradford based business ourselves, we’re proud to support our clients at every stage of their business journey.

What do you think are the key challenges the district faces?

Bradford has the largest population of young people aged under 18 in the country.

Engaging with and inspiring these young people is key to ensuring skills are sought locally to drive inclusive growth.

What issues are important to you and your business?

The accessibility of job opportunities for young people in the local area is important to us and we’re keen to address the skills shortage in our sector.

We have been offering an apprenticeship programme to develop talent in Bradford for over 27 years.

Why did you decide to join the Bradford 100 Club?

Naylor Wintersgill has been part of the Bradford business community for more than 100 years and it’s one of the ways we can continue to support and help to promote equality and diversity the city.

It has also provided us with a fantastic opportunity to meet and interact with other like-minded businesses and grow our network.

What community issues are important to you and/or your organisation?

It’s important for us to do what we can for local initiatives and charities as many of these provide support in some of the most deprived areas of the district. We actively encourage our team to get involved in fundraising through our chosen charity of the year.

As a corporate partner to charity One In A Million, we’re also keen to help break the cycles of deprivation for children and young people in Bradford.

Naylor Wintersgill is proud to be involved in the #GiveBradford Together Stronger campaign which enables businesses and individuals to join forces with others to have a real impact on the lives of those living in the Bradford community and facilitate change for the future.
