FLY-tipped rubbish was set on fire last night.
Firefighters from Fairweather Green were called to Regency Court, Whetley Lane, at around 8pm.
Watch Commander Darren Armstrong said settees, bedding and bags of rubbish had been dumped and set on fire deliberately.
They were at the scene for around 20 minutes and used a hose reel to put the fire out and to wet other bits of rubbish.
