OAKWORTH groups will receive a boost from money allocated by councillors.
Keighley town councillors for the Oakworth ward, Luke Maunsell (pictured) and Mark Curtis, are distributing £4,000.
The cash comes from Keighley Town Council’s Ward Improvement Fund, which sees each of the council’s 30 councillors receive £2,000 to help local causes.
Oakworth Community Trust will receive £2,000 for its efforts to secure the future of Holden Hall.
Girl Guides and Scouts will have £360 to fund new equipment.
Other groups benefiting include Friends of Holden Park who will receive £300, with Oakworth Village Society and Dementia Friendly Keighley being given £250 each.
£580 will be used for a sign and at least one new bench in the Cure Hill area, and £260 will help launch Cllr Maunsell’s Keep Oakworth Tidy scheme with money for dog bag dispensers.
