CITY Park was crammed with visitors today as the 2018 Bradford Festival brought music, theatre and dance to the streets in a carnival atmosphere in sunny weather conditions.
The city centre has been playing host to the flamboyant and multicultural programme of entertainment which has seen more than 350 artists staging more than 50 acts and activities over the three-day event which ends tomorrow night at 8pm.
In addition more than 20 bands have been entertaining the crowds with a diverse range of music covering rock, pop and indie, rock n’ roll, folk, Gypsy, bhangra, country and western, soul, funk, brass, jazz , Panjabi, Turkish and Latin music.
Street theatre was acted out alongside the mirror pool which was packed with people taking advantage of the fountains to cool off in the heat .
The large stage at the bottom of City Hall steps had an appreciative and constant audience as the songs they played echoed around the bottom end of the city.
Children’s activities were very much catered for with rides and art-based themes.
