RUNNERS can now sign up for next year's Epilepsy Action Bradford 10k for a discounted price of £17.

The annual event will take place on Sunday, March 17, 2019, and the charity organising the event is offering a special launch price for places at the race for a limited time.

The event has become a fixture of the running calendar since it began in 2008, with the last two events selling out, both with record numbers of runners.

Last year's race saw 2,500 runners take to the streets of Bradford, and this year the charity is expecting another full field, with a record 3,000 runners.

Since the first event 10 years ago, runners in the Bradford 10K have raised over £447,000 for Epilepsy Action, with almost 12,000 runners crossing the finish line. The course record is held by Tesfaye Debele, who achieved a time of 31.02 minutes in 2013. Starting and finishing in Centenary Square, the 10k route is suitable for first-time runners seeking a challenge, as well as elites looking to achieve a personal best.

The race is for runners aged 15 or over and follows a 10k route, from Centenary Square to Frizinghall and back. The course is fast and flat is ideal both for first-timers and elite runners looking to achieve a personal best time.
