The 14-year-old, from Camborne, Cornwall, collapsed on Meneth Road on Friday night, before ambulance crews rushed her to Treliske Hospital.

She fought for her life before dying at around 10.30 am on Saturday morning, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

Three other teenagers, two girls and a boy - all aged 15, were also taken to hospital having taken the same substance, police believe.

One of the girls was also in a serious condition, but has now improved.

Two boys, one aged 17 from Redruth and one aged 15 from Camborne, have been arrested on suspicion of drugs-related offences.
