FANS of classic film The Sound of Music are being urged to get tickets for a special screening of the film before they sell out.

A sing-along showing of the much-loved film, starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer is taking place at Cleckheaton Town Hall on Friday, April 5, 2019, but fans of the flick are being told to get their tickets early to avoid disappointment.

The evening will begin with a vocal warm-up, fancy dress competition and a guide to the interactive props, before the show gets underway.

Viewers can sing as loud and as out-of-tune as they like, and there will be lyric subtitles on the screen to ensure the audience can sing-along word for word.

The show in total is expected to last almost four hours, including the intermission, and have been known to get a little rowdy in the past, so may not be suitable for younger children.

Tickets cost £16 for adults and £14 for under 16s, and can be bought from kirkleestownhalls.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01484 225755.
