RESIDENTS living around an urban park in Buttershaw are being asked to join in a community action day to help improve the area.
Blackshaw Urban Park is a large area of grassland and trees which Bradford Council, police, fire service and Incommunities are keen to see better used by local residents. The park has been the subject of complaints about fly tipping, burning and nuisance bikes.
On Saturday June 23 from 10 am to 2pm, volunteers are invited to join staff from the council, police, fire and Incommunities to clean up and cut back vegetation, and also to tell the Council what they think of the park and how it could best be used or managed in the future.
Anyone interested should meet up at the Farfield Avenue entrance at 10 am on June 23. Equipment will be provided. Picture: Google Streetview
