AN art exhibition will be held in Bradford to mark Refugee Week. The exhibition will run at Capital of Cycling, Hall Ings, from June 19 to 23 and is being hosted by Bradford City of Sanctuary and the Bradford Refugee Week planning group.

Being a City of Sanctuary means Bradford celebrates the contribution asylum seekers and refugees bring, aims to challenge misinformation and negative stereotypes and stimulate opportunities for those seeking sanctuary to participate fully in the life of the city. The event will be an all-age, mixed media exhibition, with individual and collaborative work from schools, art students, established artists and groups.

From Tuesday, June 19 until Thursday, June 21 it will be open from 11am until 5pm, 11am until 6.30pm on June 22 and 11am until 6pm on Saturday, June 23. For information about Refugee Week, which celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, visit www.refugeeweek.org.uk.
