A SUPERHERO day held at the Odeon Leeds-Bradford Cinema, at Thornbury, at the end of April raised £1,400 for Bradford Royal Infirmary's children's wards.
The event was organised by entertainer Saahib Qureshi who also works at the cinema and attends charity functions as Spider-Man.
It was arranged to coincide with the first weekend showing of Avengers: Infinity War and saw stars of the screen in the foyer greeting young Avengers fans who had gone along to see the film.
They were met by such stars as Captain America, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Star Lord. Several of the Odeon staff had dressed as princesses.
Mr Qureshi, from Queen's Road, Bradford, who had gone along in the new Iron Spider costume from the film said: "I was delighted with the success of the day. I had hoped to raise £1,000 and had an idea that total would be passed. I think everyone involved really enjoyed themselves and helped raise money for a great cause."
