WIBSEY PARK was turned into a hive of activity and fun during an event aimed at getting people to enjoy more exercise.
People of all ages were given the chance to try out lots of different activities from cycling, football and rugby to climbing, yoga and model boating – and all for free.
The fun day also saw the unveiling of a newly installed measured mile with a fun run, launched by former international rugby player Ikram Butt, to encourage more runners and walkers to use the park.
The event was organised by Friends of Wibsey Park with support from social enterprise Your Back Yard and Bradford Council’s Neighbourhood Service.
These partners have previously worked together on a successful Lottery bid which will fund further activities in the park over summer.
The event also featured sessions by Wibsey Warriors Rugby League, Bradford Park Avenue FC, Bradford Bikery and the Big Bike Revival, a climbing wall, model boating and engines from Bradford Model Engineering Society, stalls and lots more.
