THE Mothercare store at Bradford's Forster Square Retail park has been included on a leaked list of stores likely to shut in the next year.

Earlier today the retailer confirmed it is closing 50 stores as part of a rescue plan, and that 800 jobs were at risk.

And this afternoon property consultants Ditchfield Property Tweeted a list of stores that were likely to close, as well as stores where Mothercare would look for a rent reduction.

The Bradford store, a large unit based at the retail park, is on the list of proposed closures - although Mothercare has not yet confirmed if the list is genuine.

The closure announcement was made after the company experienced major losses in the past financial year.

The retail giant had announced that the closures would leave it with 78 outlets in the UK by 2020.

It has already almost halved its store numbers over the past five years.
