ST JOHN AMBULANCE are looking for new volunteers to help continue the service it provides at sporting events, concerts and in the community.
Organisers at the charity are wanting people in West Yorkshire to step forward and learn how to be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.
Every year, more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through St John’s training programmes and the charity is looking for new volunteers who would undertake first aid training.
After six to nine months volunteers are usually at a reasonable level of proficiency and once the training is completed they can use their skills to help provide emergency relief and care for their local community.
Volunteers also meet once a week and are asked to give a minimum of 60 hours a year.
Selection and training for these countywide volunteer opportunities will take place at the charity’s venue in Bradford and anyone interested should visit www.sja.org.uk and search Bradford vacancies.
