THE Broadway shopping centre in Bradford has unveiled new electric vehicle charging bays in its car park this week.
Customers of The Broadway and car park users can use two electrical vehicle charging bays free of charge during the car park opening times.
Located on level 3, the charging bays have a four-hour maximum charging time restriction place on them, with space for four vehicles to charge at any one time.
The time restriction is in place to allow as many cars to get use of the bays as possible during the day.
The new charging bays were opened to the public on Monday.
Rob White, car park manager at The Broadway, said: “We feel that the use of electrical vehicle charging is going to increase dramatically in the coming years.
“The installation of these charging bays will help the environment and the local community in general, by contributing to lower carbon emissions in the city.
"We’re always determined to provide our customers with the best in new and renewable technology, and this launch is a step in the right direction for Bradford.”
