AN empty five storey building on one of Bradford’s main shopping streets will go under the hammer at a property auction next month.

Last used as a furniture store, 46 Darley Street will have a £290,000 guide price when it is listed at the Pugh auction, held at Leeds United Football Club on April 19.

The vacant building has retail space on the ground floor and four upper floors that have most recently been used for storage. The overall space in the building is 14564 square feet.

The listing says: “The upper floors are currently used as overspill storage space but do have potential to be converted to residential accommodation, especially given the recent change in permitted development rights for conversion of offices to residential.”

Other local lots include a 337 sq metre plot of land on Thwaites Brow Road in Keighley, with a guide price of £8,000 and a two room bungalow on Park Grove, Queensbury, which has a guide price of £55,000.
