Plans for new gin bar approved
PLANS to open a new gin bar in Greengates have been approved by Bradford Council.
The new bar, in Harrogate Road, just up from the Harrogate Road/New Line junction, will be based in a unit that is currently empty.
It is being opened by Aldo Devittoris, who also runs Aldo's Italian restaurant in Greengates.
Mr Devittoris said the "small, bespoke gin bar would further enhance the local area" and also create new jobs.
He added that the bar will be adequately sound-proofed so the surrounding areas are not disturbed by the bar.
Bradford Council's planning service has imposed opening hours on the bar in the conditions of its approval, meaning it can only open until 10pm, except Saturdays when it can stay open until 11pm.
