Traffic queues on the M62 heading towards Chain Bar
MOTORISTS are being warned to expect extra congestion on the motorway this morning due to fog.
Highways England tweeted that due to the fog, the hard shoulder lanes of the M62 between Junction 26 for Chain Bair and Junction 27 for Gildersome are closed.
This closure is affecting the eastbound carriageway.
This is affecting traffic all the way back to Junction 24 for Ainley Top, and also traffic heading southbound on the M606, with delays of between ten and 20 minutes likely.
