THREE stolen cars, all with false number plates, have been found by officers on patrol in Bradford.

The first car, a blue Volkswagen Golf, was found by police on Anerley Street, East Bowling, today.

PC Sam Brown, of Bradford East Police, tweeted: "This one was stolen from @WYP_BradfordS a couple of days ago, VW GOLF R, lovely car unfortunately driven into the ground and wrecked by the suspects as it's badly damaged."

Meanwhile, PC Brown found a second stolen car nearby just a few minutes later.

He tweeted: "Two for the price of one! As the VW Golf leaves, decided to check another car parked nearby, Seat Leon FR, that is also on false plates and and is an outstanding stolen vehicle from February."

He then tweeted about a third stolen car, a white Mercedes, which was found by officers in Eccleshill today: "Third Stolen vehicle of the day found, again on False Plates. This one has just been involved in a Burglary in Apperley Bridge. Sighted by an officer at speed on Harrogate Road and then located in a small car park on Stoney Lane, Eccleshill."
