A BRADFORD artist is celebrating some of pop culture's most inspiring women with her latest exhibition.

Rosie McAndrew's work features digitally designed art featuring Kate Bush, Patti Smith and Nina Simone and it will go on display just in time for International Women's Day on Thursday.

Titled The Kind Of Girl I'd Like To Find In My Mirror, from a Patti Smith lyric, the exhibition opens at the Calver Gallery at South Square in Thornton today, with an opening event starting at 6pm and running until 9pm.

It also features art based on female led movies and TV series, and other pieces on display at the exhibition include her take on a poster for recent sports film Battle Of The Sexes.

On Saturday March 10 the artist will run a free Zine making workshop at the gallery from 12-2pm. To sign up for the workshop email info@southsquarecentre.co.uk

The exhibition runs until April 1.

Also opening at the gallery tonight is Hillstart, an exhibition by art students at Bradford College that runs until the end of the month.
