A BROKEN down train caused commuter problems in the district this afternoon.
A spokesman for train operator Northern said the 16.38 train from Leeds to Bradford Forster Square terminated at Shipley because the brakes had stuck.
"This in turn caused delays with the 17.02 Leeds to Ilkley and the return 17.43 Ilkley to Leeds train," he said.
The terminated train was due to be up and running for the 17.19 service from Shipley.
The spokesman said the fault was one of a number of delays caused throughout the district because of the severe weather conditions.
