Students evacuated following fire at high-rise flats
A STUDENT accommodation block in Bradford had to be evacuated following a fire in a kitchen this morning.
Crews from Bradford, Fairweather Green and Huddersfield were called to Forster House, Great Horton Road, at just after 3am today.
The blaze took place in a kitchen and living area on the fourth floor of seven-storey block.
The building had been evacuated by the time the fire crews had arrived, but a full search was carried out to make sure no-one was affected.
Crews used two hose reels, four breathing apparatus and a high powered fan to clear the building of smoke.
