A BRADFORD woman has vowed to “brave the shave” and raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support after one of her friends was struck down by the disease.
Kelly Gill, 35, from Holme Wood will have her head shaved on February 1 and has started a fundraising page for friends to make donations.
“I have short hair already but never in my life have I been totally bald and my friends and family know how important my hair is to me.
“Doing this I will be totally stepping out of my comfort zone.”
Kelly said she set her target at a realistic £100 and has already passed her goal.
“It is quite soon after Christmas, but I would love to raise more,” she added.
