POLICE investigating a firearm incident near Bradford Academy which was forced into "lock-down" on Friday have issued an update.
West Yorkshire Police was alerted after a male was seen outside the premises with a gun and a witness sale he was "making threats" to people.
Police attended just before 2pm and closed the roads around Teasdale Street.
A latest statement from the police read: "A 15-year-old male has been released under investigation and a gas operated BB gun has been recovered.
"Inquiries are continuing."
On Friday the school issued the following statement via social media: "Thanks to students, parents and carers for your cooperation at the end of the day. The police have dealt with the issue and school will be open as normal on Monday."
