AN uninsured driver has had his car seized after crashing while trying to escape from police.
The man got into a short chase with police before losing control of his car in Cottingley yesterday evening after failing to stop for police.
He was found to be driving without insurance, and as a result his car, a silver Vauxhall Vectra, was seized, and he has been reported to appear in court.
Sergeant Jim Caplin, of the Shipley Neighbourhood Policing Team, tweeted about the seizure at 6.50pm yesterday.
He said: "Vehicle failed to stop in Cottingley and after a short pursuit driver lost control.
"Thankfully only his pride hurt and his licence. Vehicle seized no insurance and driver will be in court soon."
