CHRISTMAS is nearly here and one couple has wholeheartedly embraced the spirit of the festive season by creating a dazzling lights display at their house.
Carol Montgomery and David Davies have once again adorned their home in Haycliffe Drive, Wibsey, with decorations to raise money for Cancer Support Yorkshire.
The bright display is in memory of Carol’s dad, Russell Montgomery, who died of cancer aged 72 in 2006, and her mum, Sheila, who died in 1991 after a road accident.
The couple began their charity tradition at their former home in Queensbury in 2006.
Their hard work to get the decorations up began in November and the stunning display will stay up until January 5.
Last year they managed to raise nearly £170 for charity, but they are hoping to smash that figure with this year's display.
All money raised will be given to Cancer Support Yorkshire, an organisation close to Carol's heart as they helped her dad through his illness.
People can either post donations through the couple's letterbox, or place it in the donation box outside.
