POLICE are appealing for information after a car was stolen in a robbery.

Officers were called at around 11.45am on Wednesday to a report of a car which had been stolen from Haycliffe Avenue, Wibsey.

The car, a green three-door Ford Fiesta, was reported to have been driven off towards Moore Avenue by a white male who is believed to be in his twenties.

Detective Inspector Matt Walker, of Bradford District CID, said: “Officers made enquiries in the area to locate the vehicle, but it was not found and a crime of theft was recorded for investigation.

“Following further enquiries into this matter police can confirm it is now being treated as a robbery and detectives from Bradford District CID are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed what happened or anyone who has seen the vehicle since.”
