A MAN was taken to hospital after a pan fire caused smoke damage to a Bradford house.
Fire crews from Shipley and Fairweather Green were called to the incident at the basement flat on Blenheim Road, Manningham, at around 1.20am.
A spokesman for the Shipley crew said the man had left a pan on the hob and fallen asleep.
The flat was heavily smoke-logged but did not suffer any fire damage.
The man was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary for treatment for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters also had to help lead a man to safety from a ground-floor property above the basement flat.
