A REVISED application to turn a former car garage and shop into a food store has been submitted to Bradford Council.
If successful, the plan would see the former Halfords building in Leeds Road, Thornbury, turned into a food store, along with a single storey extension to the building and external changes to the unit.
Alongside the unit, there will be 51 car parking spaces, along with three disabled parking bays.
It is hoped the development would regenerate the building, which has become overgrown and dilapidated, as well as creating around 30 full-time and part-time jobs at the site.
It would also include a mezzanine level for food preparation, and the extension would contain freezer and refrigerator units.
The plan also states it would “meet the day-to-day needs of local residents”.
