A BRADFORD woman has started a crowdfunding page to raise money towards the funeral of toddler Elliot Proctor who fell to his death from a block of flats at the weekend.

Frankie Burnell, 20, who is a friend of Elliot's family, said she wanted to do something to help in his memory.

LEAVE YOUR TRIBUTES: Elliot Procter book of condolence

The 18-month-old died after falling from the sixth floor of Newcastle House, in Bradford, on Saturday.

Gemma Proctor, 23, remains in custody charged with his murder.

"I used to live on the same street as Gemma. It is so sad what has happened and I just thought about what the family was going through and how they would pay for a funeral," said Miss Burnell, who lives in Holme Wood.

"I initially wanted to raise £500 for them but within a couple of days there was more than £300 donated so I increased it to £2,000.

"I want to give the money to the family so they can afford whatever send-off they want for Elliot. I am also doing two lots of Lotto bonus ball competitions. The details are on my facebook page Frankie’Louu Burnell.

"Two of my friends are also doing two each and all the profits will go towards baby Elliot's funeral," she added."

Wellwishers have already started leaving flowers and soft toys near the place the toddler died.

The Telegraph & Argus has opened a book of condolence on its website for people to leave their thoughts and wishes for Elliot.
