A rubbish fire which spread to a house is believed to be 'suspicious'.
Fire crews were called to Kirkstall Grove, Fairweather Green, at around 10pm yesterday.
Watch Commander Jav Khan, of Fairweather Green Fire Station, said a rubbish fire in a back garden had spread to a kitchen window and porch area.
Those in the house were alerted to the blaze by their smoke alarm and managed to get out before firefighters arrived.
Watch Commander Khan said the fire is believed to be suspicious and is under investigation by police.
Firefighters stayed at the scene for around two hours and used hose reels to put the blaze out.
Damage was caused to the window and kitchen, but nobody in the house was injured.
