ARTISTS have until Friday to apply for a space at the next Bradford Print Fair.

The second fair will be taking place in The Oastler Shopping Centre on Saturday November 25, following the success of the first ever fair in July.

The Winter Bradford Print Fair organisers, Katie Holmes and Anna Parker, are keen to use the fair as a way of attracting people into the markets and encouraging them to explore the stalls and food merchants, including a pop up bar provided by The Sparrow on North Parade.

Jo Wright, a print maker based in Manchester, had a stall at the summer event, and said: "I thought the day went extremely well, we have great weather and footfall was excellent.’

Mussarat Rahman, a Bradford artist who also took part said, ‘It was nice to get my work out there and meet fellow artists too. People were encouraging us all about our work and were thrilled to see so many market stalls on Northgate.’

Khansa Tufail, Markets, Promotions and Projects Officer at Bradford Council, said, ‘Bradford Markets are very excited at the prospect of holding the next print fair in the indoor markets.

"The Oastler Centre is a fantastic location for artists to exhibit and sell their work as it holds a long history of heritage, culture and community. The indie art scene is really coming along in Bradford and markets look forward to being a part of it.’
