TWO Bradford cheerleaders and their coach have been selected for the England team.

Halle-Blu Morrison and Ellie-Jayne Peel, both students of Panache Cheer School, based at Bradford Academy, in Teasdale Street, and their coach Maddie Scarfe have been chosen to be a part of Team England at the World Cheerleading and Dance Championships in Orlando, Florida, next April.

The trio are now seeking sponsorship for their trip to the competitions.

"Both girls have represented Panache Cheer School at the European Championships in Paris and are National Champions with their teams at Panache Cheer School," said head coach Robyn Morrison.

"Panache is the largest and most successful cheerleading school in the north of England and has trained many elite dancers cheerleaders who have gone on to have professional careers in the performing arts.

"This is the first time Panache has had two dancers and a coach chosen to be members of Team England that consists of only 16 established professional dancers."

Halle-Blu, 13, and who attends Hipperholme Grammar School, is the youngest dancer to be chosen to represent and be a part of team England which is made up of professional dancers from all over England.

She is five times undefeated national solo cheerleading champion and an elite gymnast. She is in the representative cheer and dance squads at Panache Cheer School and is also representing and competing in Worlds senior level 5 with the Aviators Allstars.

Ellie-Jane, 16, has been in the representative teams at Panache Cheer School since the age of ten and is studying full time dance at Phil Winstons College in Blackpool.

Ms Scarfe has been a coach at the school for many years and has her own elite national champion cheer teams at Panache.

She has competed at the Europeans and the US finals in her cheerleading and dance career and will now be technique coach for Team England at the World Championships.

Ms Morrison added: "We are after sponsorship to get the Bradford girls to the Worlds with Team England.
