FIRE crews were called to a vehicle fire in Manningham early this morning.

The blaze, which involved two vehicles, was reported to the fire service shortly after midnight this morning, and took place in Aberford Road.

Firefighters from Fairweather Green and Shipley fire stations were called to the blaze.

A spokesman for Fairweather Green fire station said the fire was started deliberately.

He said: "A 17 plate quad bike was completely destroyed in the fire, which spread to a Mitsubishi Shogun 4x4 vehicle, which was 50 per cent damaged.

"We believe this was a deliberate act and the police were called and are investigating it."
