THREE fire engines were called to Saltaire just after midnight today to tackle a kitchen fire at a fast food takeaway shop.
Crews from Shipley, Bingley, and Bradford attended Adam's Fast Food in Saltaire Road, Shipley.
Shipley fire station watch commander, Chris Burke, said: "The frying range at the takeaway had set on fire.
"There was damage to the range and to the hood above it.
"We also used breathing apparatus to check there were no people in the flats above the takeaway."
The takeaway sells pizzas, burgers, kebabs, fried chicken, milkshakes and ice cream.
