THREE vehicles have been seized in Bradford following a police operation.
In response to requests from the community, an officer stopped a number of vehicles in the Clayton and Heaton areas to check them for road worthiness.
They were seized due to the drivers not having insurance. One of the drivers stopped was found to be disqualified.
Drivers were also reported for not having an MOT and not wearing a seatbelt. The post from West Yorkshire Police’s Bradford West’s Facebook page said the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency had prohibited eight vehicles because of serious defects and a number of taxis were suspended, also due to defects.
The post said: “West Yorkshire Police are committed to making the roads safer. Future operations are planned.”
