Armed police swooped on a house in Wyke this afternoon following an assault in Brighouse.
Inspector Carlton Young, of West Yorkshire Police, said officers were called to St John Street at around 2pm, where a person was injured after being assaulted with a knife.
He said inquiries had led them to a house in Angus Avenue, Wyke. Their search at the scene has now ended, but police are still hunting for the suspect.
Residents reported a heavy police presence on the street, which is off Whitehall Road.
