MASKED men who dropped a handgun during a terrifying raid on a Bradford mini market, are being hunted by detectives.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the attempted robbery at Kubus Euro News on Clayton Road, Lidget Green.

It happened just after midnight on Sunday when three men,  armed with a shotgun and tow handguns with their faces covered, burst into the shop.

A threatened shopworker tried to tackle the raiders but was hit in the face.

Dramatic CCTV footage shows the raiders being chased out of the shop and one of the would-be robbers being wrestled to the ground after a struggle.

A customer helped the member of staff in the struggle and they managed to reveal the face of one of the men. He was described as an Asian male, 18 to 22-years-old, thin face with a beard. The other two suspects were also Asian males, between 18 to 25-years-old and all wearing dark clothing.

The three suspects fled empty handed with two of them heading down Clayton Road and then onto Cemetery Road and Northside Terrace. The third ran down a pathway between Clayton Road Fisheries and Cutz 2000 towards Scholemoor Road.

Detective Inspector Ryan Bragg from Bradford CID, said: “This was a terrifying attempted robbery on a shopkeeper simply going about his business. I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information to call police on 101 quoting log 35 of Sunday, August 6."
