A 21 YEAR-OLD man has been charged in connection with a crash involving three cars at a major Bradford junction during a police pursuit.
Akaash Hussain, of Halifax Road, Liversedge, has been charged with dangerous driving and bailed to appear before magistrates on August 4.
Emergency services were called to the incident at the junction of Legrams Lane and Horton Grange Road, Lidget Green, at about 7.35pm on Thursday.
The three vehicles involved were a grey Volkswagen Passat, a Vauxhall Corsa, and a Toyota Avensis.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said the Passat had been involved in a four-minute police chase after the driver of the vehicle failed to stop for officers in Spencer Road.
Police then followed the vehicle to the busy junction, where it was involved in the crash with the Corsa and Avensis.
The spokesman said that two men were treated at the scene for injuries, with one taken to hospital.
A spokesman for the Fairweather Green fire crew, which had attended the crash with a crew from Bradford, said firefighters had to cut the roof off the Corsa to free the male driver who was trapped inside.
Police said roads around the junction were closed for about three hours as the vehicles were recovered.
