BRADFORD’S ‘top of town’ has been “absolutely buzzing” today as the annual North Parade Street Party got into full swing.

The event, now in its fourth year, sees local bars and cafes spill out onto the street for a day of food, music, fairground rides and drink.

Bands performing on the different stages on the day have included Analogue Bombs, Regan, The Flatpack Four, and Johnny Bedford.

This year’s festival also included the Made in Bradford market, with stalls selling crafts and food from local producers, and the first Bradford Print Fair, which featured artists displaying and selling their work on neighbouring Northgate.

The party began in 2014 to mark North Parade’s resurgence from a little-visited part of the city to a street filled with some of the area’s most popular independent bars.

This year’s event was organised by Gail Simpson, Les Hall, and Nigel Booth, and Mr Booth said: “It’s exceeded all our expectations. It has been so busy it’s been hard to walk from one end of the street to the other. The atmosphere has been absolutely buzzing.”
