FURTHER rallying cries have been made for fans to get behind Bradford Bulls as the club approaches a must-win game this weekend.

The Bulls suffered a painful defeat to Rochdale on Sunday, losing a 12-point lead in the opening stages to eventually go down 28-14.

Geoff Toovey’s side remain marooned on minus two points for the season after their latest defeat, and the head coach has admitted that it is now “five minutes to midnight” in their bid to avoid relegation from the Kingstone Press Championship to League One.

The Bulls now have just 12 games remaining, and may need to win at least ten of those to pull off a great escape, starting with Oldham’s visit to Odsal on Sunday.

Last week, the Telegraph & Argus joined the club and sponsor Provident to ‘Back the Bulls’ for the remaining six home games of the campaign in a bid to help roar the team to safety.

A newly-dedicated ‘Bradford Bulls – The Telegraph & Argus’ Facebook page will keep fans up-to-date with the campaign’s progress and latest news, including competitions and special offers.

And to get you into a more optimistic mood, we've pulled together the great picture gallery at the top of this page to remind us all of the rich heritage of this famous club.

Simon Foster, the son of Bradford Northern legend Trevor Foster, has urged fans to get behind the players.

“Trevor was a supporters’ champion and he too would be saying ‘Get down to Odsal and shout the lads on with that extra something’,” Simon said.

Judith Cummins, Labour MP for Bradford South, held discussions with the Rugby Football League to try to secure the future of the club when it was plunged into liquidation by administrators in January.

She said yesterday: “We knew this season would be a really tough battle. But the fight and grit the club has shown has been incredible. The Bulls are one of Bradford’s biggest, best-loved and most successful institutions, so I hope everyone will get along to Odsal, get behind the lads and give the club the support they need.”
