A LARGE unit in the centre of Bradford has failed to sell at auction, although an empty Shipley restaurant was bought.
The former Halifax bank building on Kirkgate, Bradford went under the hammer at a Pugh Property Auction last week.
The unit, one of the largest on the pedestrianised city centre street, had a starting price of £350,000 and £375,000.
But it failed to attract any suitable offers.
The 518 square metre unit, next to Mcdonalds and opposite the Kirkgate Shopping Centre, has a ground floor former bank hall, as well as two floors above and a basement.
Other local properties did sell at the auction, including the ground floor unit at Fenix House in Shipley town centre, near the indoor market, which sold for £60,000.
And a row of three terrace houses at The Whitehouse, on North Street in Keighley, sold for £119,000.
