Police have drawn comparisons to fictional law-enforcement hero Batman as they described the arrest of one of Bradford's 'most wanted' suspects.
In a dramatic late-night statement entitled 'GOTHAM' S OUTER CITY IS SAFE AGAIN!', a spokesman for the Bradford West policing team issued details of the arrest.
Police revealed that the suspect, described as being 'on the run', had been detained 'single handedly' by an officer.
The police statement said: "I would like to thank PC GOLDEN for all his efforts in locating the Outer City's Most Wanted."
"This male failed to answer bail to be charged with Burglary and has been on the run since."
The statement, released by PC Cahill, Outer City Ward Officer, concluded: "He was single handedly arrested for 2x burglaries, breach of sex offender register, breach of bail conditions and he was also wanted on warrant."
