BRADFORD City fans were in buoyant mood as they queued up for tickets for their club’s League One Play-off Final at Wembley on Saturday.

Bantams supporters lined up at the Valley Parade ticket office today to get their seat for the showpiece clash against Millwall.

City have sold more than 23,000 of their allocated 38,000 tickets for the West End of Wembley for the match.

The tickets will be on sale at the club’s ticket office between 9am and 5pm every day for the rest of this week until Friday evening.

Stuart McCall’s men hope to secure their place in the Championship next season, to face the likes of Leeds United, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest.

The claret and amber side will also be looking to avenge their play-off semi-final defeat to Millwall last year.

A hardy group of Bradford City supporters braved the rain to get their hands on a League One Play-Off Final ticket, with prices ranging between £15 and £80.

Queuing Bantams fans were confident of success in their club’s clash on Saturday.

Christine Edmonds, of Shipley, was queuing up for final tickets for her daughter, Katherine Henkel, 25, who lives in Birmingham, who has delayed a trip to South America to see City.

Mrs Edmonds said: “Katherine has changed her flights to see some of her friends in Colombia to this Sunday, so she can go to Wembley to see the match the day before.

“I think City are going to win 3-0.”

Trish Cooke, 40, of Bingley, was also confident the Bantams will be victorious on Saturday.

She said: “I am not going to the match, but I’m getting a ticket for my brother. I will be watching it on television but think Bradford will win 2-1.”

Mark Whitford, 38, of East Bowling, said: “Hopefully we will win. There will be a good celebration afterwards if we do it. I’m a bit nervous but I still think we will win 3-0.”

James Mason, Bradford City’s chief operating officer, said: “I am proud of the support with buying tickets that we have had from our fans. It would be brilliant if all of our fans could take something claret and amber to Wembley to make it a great visual.”

They made it to this weekend’s final after a 1-0 aggregate win over Fleetwood Town in the semi-final earlier this month.
