BRADFORD City’s loyal army of supporters say they are in “quietly confident” mood ahead of this Saturday’s League One play-off final with Millwall.

The Bantams have secured an allocation of 38,000 tickets for the Wembley clash, and hope to fill the entire West End of the famous stadium.

Millwall beat Bradford City in last season’s play-off semi-final, but Mike Thompson, society secretary of the Bradford City Supporters’ Trust, said he believed Stuart McCall’s men could get revenge for that defeat this time around.

“People are quietly confident this time, we are in a much stronger position than a year ago,” he said.

“Millwall have got a very potent forward line, but we have got the defensive system to cope and there is every reason to be looking forward to the game.

“Our group will be heading down there en-masse.

“It should be a great atmosphere, and while I never predict a score I’m confident of a City win.”

Good luck messages have been pouring in for the team.

Mike Harrison, editor of the City Gent fanzine, said he had one subscriber in Vancouver, Tally Singh, who had jetted in especially for the semi-final game against Fleetwood at Valley Parade.

He said: “I saw him at the Fleetwood game, and I think he said he was going to do some work in Russia.

“But, wherever he has flown back to, it wouldn’t surprise me if he is back for the final.”

Mr Harrison said he was putting together a special supplement to complement his normal fanzine on the Bantam’s semi-final win and road to Wembley that he would be selling on the day of the game.

“I’m already nervous,” he said.

“God knows what I’m going to be like by the time the game actually comes around!”
