HE might only be two years old, but little Freddie Garside has held a Bradford City season ticket for most of his life and attended more matches than many fellow Bantams fans.

But his next away match is the most exciting for him to date after his mum, Jessica Garside, 20, of Griffe Road, Wyke, secured tickets for Wembley so he can cheer the Bantams on as they meet Millwall in the League One play-off final.

“We’re a football-mad family,” said his mum. “Four generations of us usually go together to matches, my grandad, my dad, myself and Freddie.

“He has only missed three home games this season because I was working and he has been to 12 away games, including Gillingham, which involved an eight-hour journey.

“He loves it and it’s great that we all share the same passion.

“He is three in June and three weeks after he was born we got a season ticket for him and I took him to matches in his baby carrier.

“We take him to as many matches as possible as a four-generation family.

“He has learned a lot of the songs and he sings Bradford City at the top of his voice.”

“His favourite player is Josh Cullen – on loan from West Ham – and he’s really looking forward to seeing him play.

“We all managed to go to the first-leg home match against Fleetwood but we couldn’t get tickets for the second leg because there were so few available but we cheered them on from home.

“Freddie can’t pronounce Wembley properly yet and misses the ‘W’ off but he knows he’s going somewhere special. We’ll be going down on a coach and we’re all very excited about it.”
