A PLAY looking at mental health issues and modern day stigmas will be staged at the University of Bradford’s Theatre in the Mill on Wednesday.

Butterfly is an ARC Stockton Cultural Shift production, and is written and directed by Vici Wreford-Sinnott.

It follows the story of its heroine Beatrice, who is waiting for the outcome of a mental health assessment, and looks at how society treats people in the 21st century.

It is the first professional production created during the Cultural Shift programme at ARC Stockton.

The project aims to challenge commonly held perceptions of disability and disabled people and also to increase opportunities for disabled people to take part in the arts.

The performance will start at 7.30pm on Wednesday April 26.

Tickets cost £10/£6 concessions, and to buy a ticket call 01274 233200 or email theatre@bradford.ac.uk
